Version history lets you inspect earlier saved states of project files and restore one when work needs to be recovered. Restoring is non-destructive: Collivo creates a new current version from the selected state and keeps the existing history. Because the restore is itself a new version, you can reverse it the same way.Version history is available for supported documents, uploaded files, whiteboards, and kanban boards. The preview differs by artifact type.
You need access to the artifact. Viewing history follows the artifact’s normal permissions; restoring requires edit permissions. Before restoring, tell active collaborators what you intend to do. Their current edits may be newer than the version you select.
Select Version history in its toolbar, or from its menu.
Choose a version from the list.
Review its timestamp, author or save reason when shown, and the content preview.
For editable documents, the preview can highlight what changed. For uploaded Office files and PDFs, Collivo shows the available preview for that saved file. Some file types may provide limited preview detail but can still retain versions.
Confirm that its content is the correct recovery point.
Select Restore and confirm the action.
Return to the artifact and verify the current content.
The restored state becomes a new latest version. Versions created after the selected point remain in the history, so you can inspect or restore them again.
Whiteboards and kanban boards have their own Version history views. Preview the selected board state, then restore it. For kanban boards, also use Activity Log when you only need to understand who changed a card, column, or board setting.
Restore changes the artifact for everyone who can access it. Review the preview and coordinate with teammates before confirming.
